In a decisive Week 7 matchup, the New York Jets topped the Jacksonville Jaguars with a final score of 31-14, solidifying their position in the playoff hunt. The Jets came into this game looking to establish momentum, and they certainly delivered on that front against a struggling Jaguars squad. Offensively, Jahmyr Gibbs was a standout for the Jets, racking up 124 rushing yards and proving to be a constant threat on the ground. Meanwhile, C.J. Stroud of the Jaguars showed flashes of brilliance, throwing for 250 yards and two touchdowns, but ultimately it wasn't enough to keep pace with the Jets’ relentless attack. Luther Burden III led the Jaguars in receiving with 87 yards, but the Jets’ defense consistently applied pressure, limiting Stroud's effectiveness. Defensively, the Jets made their mark with a strong performance from Jeremy Chinn, who logged six total tackles, and Brian Burns, who recorded 1.5 sacks. The turning point of the game came when Joshua Williams intercepted a pass, halting a potential Jaguars scoring drive and swinging momentum back to the Jets. With their defensive unit stepping up in crucial moments, the Jets outlasted the Jaguars and secured a commanding victory.
