In a pivotal Week 16 matchup, the Detroit Lions secured a 24-10 victory over the New York Giants, solidifying their playoff aspirations as the season winds down. With both teams vying for critical positioning, the Lions emerged dominant on their home turf, showcasing a balanced offensive attack and a tenacious defense. Detroit's Justin Fields was the standout performer, throwing for 302 yards and two touchdowns, leading his team effectively throughout the contest. The Lions' offense operated with precision, allowing them to capitalize on scoring opportunities, while the Giants struggled to find their rhythm. DJ Moore provided a bright spot for New York, racking up 115 receiving yards, but it wasn't enough to swing the momentum. Defensively, the Lions were relentless, with Aidan Hutchinson's three sacks wreaking havoc on the Giants' offensive line.
