In a crucial Week 16 matchup, the Dallas Cowboys topped the Jacksonville Jaguars with a final score of 31-19, solidifying their playoff position as the season nears its end. Dallas's victory not only boosts their confidence but also puts them in a favorable spot heading into the postseason. Dak Prescott was the star of the show for the Cowboys, throwing for 248 yards and three touchdowns, showcasing his ability to command the offense effectively. Meanwhile, Jacksonville’s Bhayshul Tuten made a strong effort on the ground, racking up 84 rushing yards, while Brian Thomas Jr. led the Jaguars in receiving with 89 yards, but their efforts weren't enough to overcome Dallas's offensive firepower. Defensively, the Cowboys made significant contributions, with DeMarvion Overshown leading the way with nine total tackles, and Malachi Lawrence adding 1.5 sacks to disrupt the Jaguars' rhythm. The turning point came in the second quarter, when Dallas's defense forced a critical turnover, allowing Prescott to capitalize with a touchdown pass that shifted momentum squarely in their favor. The Jaguars struggled to recover after that, sealing their fate in a must-win game.
