In an exciting season opener, the Buffalo Bills topped the Houston Texans 25-17, kicking off the 2026 campaign with a solid victory. The win is crucial for Buffalo as they look to establish themselves as contenders early in the season, while Houston aims to regroup and find their rhythm in the weeks to come. Josh Allen led the way for the Bills, throwing for 266 yards, while James Cook III contributed significantly on the ground with 58 rushing yards. C.J. Stroud of the Texans showcased his potential, tossing two touchdown passes, but it was Tank Dell who stole the show for Houston with an impressive 110 receiving yards, keeping the Texans competitive throughout the game. Defensively, the Bills made key plays to secure the victory, highlighted by an interception from Davison Igbinosun that shifted momentum in the second half. Danielle Hunter's sack for the Texans put pressure on Allen, but ultimately, it was Buffalo's ability to limit big plays and make crucial stops that defined the game's turning point, allowing them to hold off Houston's late surge.
