The Green Bay Packers kicked off the 2026 season with a solid 34-24 victory over the Minnesota Vikings. Both teams were looking to establish early momentum, but it was the Packers who ultimately secured the win, setting a competitive tone for the weeks ahead. Leading the offensive charge, Kyler Murray threw for an impressive 331 yards and three touchdowns for the Vikings, showcasing his ability to stretch the field. However, it was Josh Jacobs of the Packers who made a significant impact on the ground, rushing for 107 yards and keeping the Vikings' defense on their heels. Jordan Addison also shined in the receiving game for Minnesota, racking up 112 yards, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the Packers' offensive balance. On the defensive side, Micah Parsons was a standout for Green Bay, recording two sacks that disrupted Minnesota's rhythm. The turning point came late in the third quarter when the Packers' Benjamin St-Juste intercepted a crucial pass, shifting momentum back to Green Bay and allowing them to maintain control of the game. Overall, the Packers' defensive efforts, combined with their offensive firepower, were key in securing this important early-season victory.
