In a decisive Week 2 clash of the 2026 season, the Atlanta Falcons topped the Carolina Panthers with a final score of 38-19. This matchup was crucial for both teams as they sought to establish momentum early in the season, but it was the Falcons who emerged victorious, showcasing a powerful offensive performance. Cade Klubnik was the standout performer for Atlanta, throwing for 267 yards and three touchdowns, effectively leading his team to victory. His connection with Drake London was particularly lethal, as London amassed 98 receiving yards, proving to be a key target throughout the game. Meanwhile, Bryce Young put in a solid effort for the Panthers, rushing for 86 yards, but his team's offensive struggles ultimately hampered their ability to keep pace. Defensively, the Falcons made their presence felt, with Shemar Stewart recording a sack that disrupted Carolina’s rhythm. Although Devin Lloyd led all players with nine total tackles for the Panthers, it was Atlanta’s ability to limit big plays and capitalize on crucial moments that defined the game. A pivotal turning point came in the second quarter when Klubnik's touchdown pass extended the Falcons' lead, making it difficult for the Panthers to recover.
