In a critical Week 4 matchup, the New England Patriots secured a 17-7 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars, solidifying their position in the playoff race. With both teams looking to gain momentum in the 2027 season, this win was vital for the Patriots as they aim to establish dominance in the AFC. Drake Maye led the Patriots' offense with a strong performance, passing for 224 yards and throwing one touchdown. Rhamondre Stevenson was a force on the ground, racking up 93 rushing yards, while A.J. Brown contributed with 54 receiving yards. Together, they provided the offensive firepower necessary to outpace the Jaguars. Defensively, the Patriots were able to stifle Jacksonville's offense, with Christian Barmore recording 1.5 sacks that disrupted the Jaguars' rhythm. Though Whlt Weeks of the Jaguars posted an impressive 12 tackles, it was Barmore's pressure that proved to be a turning point, forcing critical mistakes and allowing New England to maintain control of the game.
