In a tightly contested battle in Week 11 of the 2026 season, the Minnesota Vikings narrowly defeated the San Francisco 49ers by a final score of 19-16. This win keeps the Vikings firmly in the playoff hunt as they continue to build momentum heading into the final stretch of the season. Minnesota's offensive showcase was led by quarterback Kyler Murray, who threw for an impressive 292 yards, while Jordan Mason provided a strong ground game with 101 rushing yards. Wide receiver Justin Jefferson was a standout target, racking up 136 receiving yards and consistently finding ways to move the chains. Although Brock Purdy tossed two touchdown passes for the 49ers, it wasn’t enough to secure the victory. Defensively, Andrew Van Ginkel was a game-changer for the Vikings, recording two sacks that disrupted San Francisco's rhythm and put pressure on Purdy throughout the game. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when Minnesota's defense stepped up, forcing a key turnover that allowed the Vikings to maintain their slim lead. With both teams battling hard, it was Minnesota's defensive resolve that ultimately sealed the win.
