The New York Jets narrowly defeated the Chicago Bears 21-18 in a tightly contested matchup during Week 4 of the 2026 season. With both teams looking to establish momentum early in the season, this game was crucial for their playoff aspirations. On the offensive side, Caleb Williams of the Bears showcased his prowess, throwing for 187 yards and two touchdowns, demonstrating his ability to move the ball effectively. Breece Hall led the Jets' ground attack with 63 rushing yards, providing just enough support to complement their passing game. Rome Odunze was a standout for Chicago, racking up 74 receiving yards and keeping the Jets' defense on their toes throughout the game. Defensively, the Bears were relentless, with Devin Bush leading the charge with 10 total tackles, while T.J. Edwards contributed with a key sack. Dillon Thieneman's two interceptions proved pivotal, but ultimately, it was the Jets' resilience that secured the win. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when the Jets' defense held firm, forcing the Bears to settle for a field goal instead of a potential game-winning touchdown.
