In a tightly contested matchup, the New Orleans Saints narrowly defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers 23-17 in Week 7 of the 2026 season. The victory keeps the Saints in the playoff hunt, while the Steelers face critical questions as the season progresses. Leading the charge for New Orleans was quarterback Tyler Shough, who threw for an impressive 340 yards and two touchdowns. His standout performance was complemented by wide receiver Jordyn Tyson, who racked up 149 receiving yards, making crucial catches that kept the Saints' offense on the move. Running back Travis Etienne Jr. added balance to the attack with 65 rushing yards, contributing to the team's overall effectiveness. Defensively, the Saints were anchored by Cameron Jordan, who tallied 1.5 sacks, applying consistent pressure on the Steelers' offense. The game's turning point came late in the fourth quarter when Shough connected with Tyson for a pivotal touchdown, giving New Orleans a lead that proved insurmountable. Despite a strong defensive effort from Pittsburgh, highlighted by Sean Murphy-Bunting's 14 tackles and T.J. Watt's interception, they couldn’t secure the win in the end.
