In a tightly contested matchup, the Houston Texans held off the Jacksonville Jaguars with a final score of 17-13, securing a crucial victory in Week 6 of the 2026 season. Both teams battled fiercely for playoff positioning, but it was the Texans who ultimately emerged victorious, showcasing their resilience on the road. Trevor Lawrence led the Jaguars’ offense with 217 passing yards and a touchdown, establishing himself as a key playmaker throughout the game. Meanwhile, Brian Thomas Jr. stood out as Lawrence's top target, racking up 119 receiving yards and keeping the Jaguars in striking distance. The defensive units played a significant role in shaping the outcome, with the Jaguars' Travis Hunter leading the way with seven tackles. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when Foyesade Oluokun snagged an interception, giving Jacksonville a chance to take the lead, but the Texans' defense held firm, ultimately sealing the game. With this win, Houston continues to prove they can win in clutch moments, setting the stage for an exciting second half of the season.
