In a decisive Week 8 matchup, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers topped the Atlanta Falcons with a final score of 28-7, solidifying their position in the playoff hunt. The Buccaneers were eager to maintain momentum, and they did just that against a struggling Falcons squad. Baker Mayfield led the charge for Tampa Bay, throwing for 268 yards and an impressive four touchdown passes. His performance proved pivotal, as he connected with multiple receivers to keep the Falcons' defense on their heels. On the other side, Bijan Robinson struggled to find running room, managing only 12 rushing yards, while Zachariah Branch stood out with 93 receiving yards for Atlanta. Defensively, the Buccaneers were relentless, highlighted by Zyon McCollum's two interceptions that shifted the game's momentum firmly in Tampa Bay's favor. The turning point came midway through the second quarter when McCollum's first pick set up a touchdown drive, giving the Buccaneers a commanding lead they would not relinquish. Despite some bright spots for Atlanta, including Jessie Bates III's four tackles and Jalon Walker’s sack, the Buccaneers' dominant performance overshadowed their efforts.
