In a dominant performance, the Cincinnati Bengals topped the Houston Texans 49-21 in Week 2 of the 2026 season. The Bengals aimed to establish their footing early this season, and this victory not only boosts their confidence but also sets the tone for their upcoming matchups. Leading the charge for Cincinnati was quarterback Joe Burrow, who put on a show with 424 passing yards and an impressive six touchdown passes. Ja'Marr Chase was a standout target, racking up 172 receiving yards, while Ashton Jeanty contributed on the ground with 35 rushing yards. This offensive onslaught left the Texans struggling to keep pace throughout the game. Defensively, the Bengals showcased their prowess, with Tre'Davious White making a significant impact by snagging three interceptions. This played a crucial role in the game’s turning point, as his picks stifled the Texans’ momentum and set up the Bengals for easy scoring opportunities. Houston's defense, despite some bright spots from Kamari Lassiter and Will Anderson Jr., could not contain Burrow and the explosive Bengals offense, leading to a lopsided scoreline.
