The Tampa Bay Buccaneers secured a decisive 26-9 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 17 of the 2027 season, solidifying their playoff positioning as the regular season draws to a close. With both teams vying for a crucial win, the Buccaneers showcased their dominance on both sides of the ball. Baker Mayfield led the charge for Tampa Bay, throwing for an impressive 324 yards and two touchdowns, while Bucky Irving added 88 rushing yards to the mix. Emeka Egbuka was Mayfield's favorite target, racking up 116 receiving yards, proving to be a consistent threat throughout the game. The Buccaneers' offensive performance was efficient and effective, ultimately driving them to a comfortable win. Defensively, Tampa Bay made their presence felt with a strong performance highlighted by Vita Vea's sack and Antoine Winfield Jr.'s interception, which shifted momentum in the Buccaneers' favor. The turning point came when Winfield picked off a pass in the second quarter, allowing Tampa Bay to extend their lead and control the game from that point forward. The Jaguars struggled to respond, and their inability to capitalize on opportunities kept them from mounting a comeback.
