In a thrilling Week 2 matchup, the Thomasville Yellow Jackets narrowly defeated the Arizona Cardinals with a final score of 46-41. The stakes were high as both teams sought to establish momentum early in the 2027 season, but it was the Yellow Jackets who emerged victorious in a hard-fought contest. LaNorris Sellers showcased his prowess under center for Thomasville, amassing an impressive 427 passing yards to fuel the Yellow Jackets' offensive attack. Meanwhile, Carson Beck held his own for Arizona, throwing four touchdown passes, but it was the standout performance of Jameson Williams, who racked up 234 receiving yards, that truly made the difference for Thomasville. Defensively, the Yellow Jackets made key plays when it mattered most, highlighted by Jack Campbell's interception that halted an Arizona drive and maintained momentum for his team. Although Ronnie Hickman led the Cardinals with four total tackles and Josh Sweat recorded two sacks, it was the Yellow Jackets' ability to capitalize on opportunities that ultimately swung the game in their favor. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter, when a critical turnover gave Thomasville the chance to seal their victory.
