In a thrilling Week 5 showdown, the Seattle Seahawks topped the San Francisco 49ers with a final score of 41-26, solidifying their position in the playoff race. The stakes were high as both teams sought to gain momentum in the 2026 season, but it was the Seahawks who emerged victorious in this divisional clash. Sam Darnold led the charge for Seattle, throwing for three touchdowns and orchestrating a potent offense that kept the 49ers on their heels. Jadarian Price was a standout in the backfield, rushing for 123 yards and consistently finding ways to break through tackles. On the receiving end, Mike Evans of the 49ers had an impressive day with 166 yards, but his efforts were not enough to swing the game in San Francisco's favor. Defensively, the Seahawks were impactful, with Devon Witherspoon leading the team with seven total tackles and Uchenna Nwosu contributing with a crucial sack. The turning point came late in the second quarter when Darnold connected with his receivers for consecutive touchdowns, shifting momentum firmly in Seattle's favor. The 49ers struggled to respond, ultimately sealing their fate as the Seahawks cruised to victory.
