In a commanding performance, the Arizona Cardinals topped the Detroit Lions 41-24 in Week 5 of the 2026 season. With this victory, Arizona continues to solidify its position in the playoff race, while the Lions struggle to find consistency as they move deeper into the season. Jared Goff led the Lions with an impressive 245 passing yards and threw two touchdowns, but it was Jeremiyah Love's explosive rushing performance that stole the show for Arizona. Love racked up 148 rushing yards, showcasing his speed and agility, while Jameson Williams contributed for Detroit with 67 receiving yards, but it wasn’t enough to keep pace with the Cardinals' offensive onslaught. Defensively, the Cardinals made their presence felt, particularly through Budda Baker, who intercepted Goff three times, turning the tide in favor of Arizona. Garrett Williams led the team with seven total tackles, and while Josh Sweat managed only half a sack, the pressure he applied contributed to an overall strong defensive effort. The turning point came when Baker's third interception led to a quick touchdown, effectively sealing the game for Arizona and leaving the Lions to regroup for future matchups.
