In a decisive Week 17 showdown, the Washington Commanders topped the Jacksonville Jaguars with a final score of 42-25, solidifying their playoff aspirations. With this victory, Washington not only secured a crucial win but also showcased their offensive firepower leading into the postseason. Jayden Daniels was the star of the night for the Commanders, throwing for 300 yards and three touchdowns, efficiently engineering the offense. Complementing his performance was running back Jacory Croskey-Merritt, who racked up an impressive 130 rushing yards, consistently breaking through the Jaguars’ defense and keeping drives alive. Washington’s dynamic offense proved too much for Jacksonville, as they dominated the scoreboard throughout the game. Defensively, Odafe Oweh was a standout, recording four total tackles and three sacks, applying relentless pressure on the Jaguars’ quarterback. The game's turning point came in the second quarter when Oweh’s third sack led to a crucial turnover on downs, allowing Washington to extend their lead and seize momentum. Additionally, Tre'Davious White contributed with an interception, further stifling Jacksonville's chances of mounting a comeback.
