In a thrilling Week 5 matchup, the Arizona Cardinals narrowly defeated the Detroit Lions with a final score of 49-42. Both teams entered the game looking to solidify their place in the playoff race, but it was the Cardinals who ultimately emerged victorious in a high-scoring affair. Cardinals quarterback Jacoby Brissett was the standout performer, throwing for an impressive 482 yards and six touchdowns, showcasing his ability to connect with his receivers under pressure. Michael Wilson also shone brightly, racking up 113 receiving yards, helping to keep the Lions' defense on their heels throughout the game. On the other side, Jahmyr Gibbs made his mark for Detroit with 112 rushing yards, but it wasn't enough to secure the win. Defensively, the Lions struggled to contain the Cardinals' explosive offense, and the turning point came in the fourth quarter when Brissett threw a crucial touchdown pass that shifted the momentum entirely. Germaine Pratt led the Lions' defense with four tackles, but they were unable to mount a significant challenge against Brissett's aerial assault. Overall, the game highlighted both teams' offensive firepower, but it was Arizona's ability to make key plays at critical moments that sealed their victory.
