In a crucial Week 13 matchup, the Bozeman Mustangs topped the Charleston Egrets 24-16, solidifying their position in the playoff race. With both teams vying for critical late-season momentum, the Mustangs delivered a strong performance at home, showcasing their resilience and tactical execution. Lamar Jackson led the charge for Bozeman, throwing for 206 yards and a touchdown, while Nico Collins emerged as his favorite target, racking up 110 receiving yards. The Mustangs also relied on a balanced attack, managing to keep Charleston's defense on its heels throughout the contest. Despite De'Von Achane's strong showing for the Egrets with 78 rushing yards, Bozeman's offensive efforts proved too much to overcome. Defensively, the Mustangs were led by Nick Bolton, who tallied eight total tackles, helping to stifle Charleston's attempts to gain traction. The game's turning point came in the second half when Bozeman's defense stepped up, forcing crucial stops and limiting the Egrets to just two field goals. With Antonio Johnson's interception for Charleston serving as a late glimmer of hope, it wasn't enough to shift the tide, as the Mustangs held on for the win.
