In a crucial Week 9 matchup of the 2027 season, the Las Vegas Raiders topped the Cincinnati Bengals 24-14, solidifying their playoff aspirations. Both teams came into this game knowing the importance of a win, but it was the Raiders who capitalized on their chances and emerged victorious. Quarterback Fernando Mendoza led the way for the Raiders, throwing for an impressive 276 yards, while veteran receiver Tyreek Hill contributed significantly with 90 receiving yards. Ashton Jeanty added a solid ground game, rushing for 83 yards, helping to keep the Bengals' defense on its heels throughout the contest. Joe Burrow did his best to keep the Bengals in the game with two touchdown passes, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Raiders' offensive attack. Defensively, the Raiders made key plays to secure the win, most notably Jeremy Chinn's interception that halted a potential Bengals scoring drive. Cashius Howell was a standout for Cincinnati, recording 2.5 sacks, but the Bengals struggled to contain the Raiders' balanced offensive effort. The turning point came late in the second quarter when Mendoza orchestrated a touchdown drive, giving Las Vegas a lead they would not relinquish.
