In a decisive finish to the regular season, the New Orleans Saints topped the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 28-14, solidifying their playoff positioning. With Week 18 on the line, both teams aimed to secure momentum heading into the postseason, but it was the Saints who emerged victorious in front of their home crowd. Dak Prescott delivered a stellar performance for New Orleans, throwing for 301 yards and two touchdowns, showcasing his ability to lead the team effectively. DJ Moore was his favorite target, racking up 117 receiving yards, while the Saints' offense balanced the attack with critical plays that kept the Buccaneers on their heels. Defensively, the Saints were equally impressive, with Marcus Jones leading the way with seven total tackles and an interception that shifted the momentum. Rashan Gary contributed significantly with 1.5 sacks, putting pressure on the Buccaneers' offense and disrupting their rhythm. The turning point came late in the second quarter when Jones' interception halted a promising Tampa Bay drive, allowing the Saints to capitalize and extend their lead.
