In a hard-fought battle, the New England Patriots topped the Denver Broncos 22-17 in Week 17 of the 2026 season. With playoff implications on the line, both teams came out firing, but the Patriots managed to hold their ground, securing a crucial victory as the regular season winds down. Trevor Lawrence was the standout performer for New England, throwing for 293 yards while orchestrating the offense with precision. Meanwhile, Cam Ward of the Broncos found the end zone twice, showcasing his ability to respond under pressure. Tank Dell emerged as a major receiving threat for Denver, racking up an impressive 140 yards, but it wasn’t enough to clinch the win. Defensively, the Patriots were led by Poona Ford, who registered 1.5 sacks, disrupting the Broncos' offensive rhythm. The turning point of the game came late in the fourth quarter when Ford's pressure on Ward led to a critical interception, allowing New England to maintain their lead and ultimately secure the victory. Despite a strong effort from Ernest Jones IV, who made 11 tackles for Denver, the Broncos could not overcome the defensive prowess displayed by the Patriots.
