In a tightly contested matchup, the Washington Commanders narrowly defeated the Seattle Seahawks 20-17 in Week 3 of the 2026 season. This victory was crucial for Washington as they aimed to build momentum early in the season while Seattle sought to bounce back from a slow start. Jalen Milroe had a standout performance for the Seahawks, throwing for 194 yards and two touchdowns, showcasing his ability to connect with his receivers under pressure. However, it was Rachaad White's solid ground game for the Commanders, accumulating 64 rushing yards, that helped establish a balanced offensive attack. Terry McLaurin also made his mark with 68 receiving yards, providing a reliable target for the Washington offense. Defensively, the Seahawks were led by Ernest Jones IV, who recorded an impressive 14 total tackles, but it was the Commanders' ability to capitalize on key moments that turned the tide. The game's turning point came late in the fourth quarter when Washington's defense stifled a promising Seattle drive, forcing a turnover on downs that allowed them to maintain their lead and ultimately secure the victory.
