In a tightly contested matchup, the New Orleans Saints narrowly defeated the Arizona Cardinals 13-10 in Week 16 of the 2026 season. The stakes were high as both teams vied for playoff positioning, but it was the Saints who emerged victorious in a game defined by defensive grit and timely plays. Tyler Shough led the Saints' offense with 189 passing yards, while Travis Etienne Jr. added a solid ground game, rushing for 85 yards. Oscar Delp was the top target, racking up 81 receiving yards, though the Saints struggled to find the end zone consistently. Jacoby Brissett's lone touchdown pass kept the Cardinals within striking distance, but they couldn't capitalize late in the game. Defensively, the Saints made crucial plays, with Kool-Aid McKinstry's interception proving pivotal in the tight contest. Despite the Cardinals' Walter Nolen III dominating with three sacks, the Saints' defense held strong when it mattered most. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when McKinstry's interception halted an Arizona drive, allowing New Orleans to secure the win and keep their playoff hopes alive.
