In a thrilling Week 18 showdown, the Seattle Seahawks narrowly defeated the Los Angeles Rams with a final score of 28-21, securing their playoff position in a tightly contested NFC matchup. With both teams battling for postseason positioning, every play mattered, and the stakes couldn't have been higher. Trey Lance of the Rams put on a stellar performance, throwing for 302 yards and three touchdowns, showcasing his ability to lead the offense effectively. However, it was Seahawks running back Christian McCaffrey who made his mark with 87 rushing yards, providing the ground game that kept Seattle's offense balanced. Darius Slayton also had a standout day for the Rams, racking up 103 receiving yards, but it ultimately wasn’t enough to seal the victory. Defensively, the Seahawks made key plays that turned the tide of the game, highlighted by Edgerrin Cooper’s two interceptions, which proved critical in stifling the Rams' momentum. DeForest Buckner added pressure with a sack, showcasing the effectiveness of Seattle's defensive line. The game's turning point came late in the fourth quarter when Cooper's second interception set up a crucial touchdown drive, allowing the Seahawks to pull ahead and secure the win.
