In a decisive Week 18 matchup, the Washington Commanders topped the Dallas Cowboys 26-9, solidifying their playoff hopes as the regular season comes to a close. Both teams entered the game looking to improve their standings, but it was Washington that rose to the occasion, showcasing their dominance on both sides of the ball. Bo Nix led the Commanders' offense with a steady performance, throwing for one touchdown and managing the game effectively. Rachaad White was a standout in the ground game, racking up 97 rushing yards and providing crucial support. On the other side, Drake Maye threw for a notable 329 yards, but struggled to find the end zone, with Rashod Bateman emerging as the top receiver for Dallas with 132 receiving yards. Defensively, the Commanders made their presence felt throughout the game, highlighted by Marshon Lattimore's seven total tackles and an interception that shifted the momentum. Kobie Turner contributed with a key sack, putting pressure on Maye and disrupting the Cowboys' rhythm. The turning point came late in the second quarter when Lattimore's interception set up a scoring drive, allowing Washington to pull ahead and control the game from that point onward.
