In a thrilling Week 3 matchup, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers held off the Minnesota Vikings with a final score of 31-23. Both teams entered this game looking to solidify their positions early in the 2026 season, but it was the Buccaneers who emerged victorious, showcasing their offensive firepower and defensive resilience. Baker Mayfield led the charge for Tampa Bay, throwing for two touchdowns while guiding the team to a balanced offensive performance. Bucky Irving added to the ground game with 88 rushing yards, and the receiving corps was anchored by Jordan Addison's impressive 116 yards for Minnesota, despite their loss. Kyler Murray showcased his skills for the Vikings as well, amassing 302 passing yards but ultimately falling short. Defensively, the Buccaneers made critical plays that swung the momentum in their favor, highlighted by Tykee Smith's two interceptions. Zyon McCollum's five tackles were instrumental in limiting the Vikings' opportunities, while Jalen Redmond's two sacks kept pressure on Mayfield. The game's turning point came late in the fourth quarter when Smith's second interception thwarted a potential game-tying drive, sealing the Buccaneers' hard-fought victory.
