In a decisive Week 7 matchup, the Houston Texans topped the New Orleans Saints with a commanding 31-8 victory, solidifying their position in the playoff race. The Texans came into the game looking to extend their winning streak, while the Saints sought to gain momentum after a rocky start to the season. C.J. Stroud led the charge for Houston, throwing for an impressive 318 yards while Woody Marks added a strong ground game with 94 rushing yards. Dalton Schultz was Stroud's favorite target, racking up 97 receiving yards and consistently moving the chains for the Texans. Meanwhile, Tyler Shough managed to find the end zone for New Orleans but struggled to keep pace with the efficient Houston offense. Defensively, the Texans put pressure on the Saints all game long, with Kayden McDonald leading the charge with two sacks. The game shifted in Houston's favor when they forced a turnover, allowing them to capitalize on short field opportunities and extend their lead. Kool-Aid McKinstry made a standout effort for New Orleans, tallying five tackles and an interception, but it wasn’t enough to turn the tide as the Texans' defense stifled the Saints' attempts to mount a comeback.
