In a tightly contested Week 2 matchup of the 2027 season, the New England Patriots narrowly defeated the Buffalo Bills, clinching a 20-17 victory. With both teams eager to establish early season momentum, the stakes were high as they battled for divisional supremacy. Patriots rookie running back TreVeyon Henderson stole the spotlight, racking up a remarkable 123 rushing yards, while quarterback Josh Allen of the Bills showcased his arm, passing for 241 yards and two touchdowns. Allen's efforts kept the Bills competitive, but it was Henderson's ground game that proved crucial for New England's offense. Defensively, Gabe Jacas made a significant impact for the Patriots with 1.5 sacks, disrupting Buffalo's rhythm and putting pressure on Allen. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when Jacas's pressure led to a critical turnover on downs, allowing New England to maintain control and ultimately secure the win.
