In a commanding performance, the Green Bay Packers topped the San Francisco 49ers 31-6 in Week 2 of the 2027 season. This win solidifies the Packers' early momentum as they look to establish themselves as a serious contender this year, while the 49ers will need to regroup after a disappointing outing at home. Quarterback Jordan Love led the charge for Green Bay, throwing for 259 yards and three touchdowns, showcasing his growing command of the offense. Tight end Tucker Kraft was his favorite target, racking up 86 receiving yards, while running back Josh Jacobs contributed on the ground with 58 rushing yards. The Packers' offense was efficient, consistently moving the ball and capitalizing on scoring opportunities. Defensively, the Packers were relentless, highlighted by Darnell Savage's standout performance with eight total tackles and Dani Dennis-Sutton's disruptive presence, notching 1.5 sacks. The turning point came early in the second half when a critical interception by Marques Sigle of the 49ers was unable to spark a comeback, as the Packers' defense held firm, allowing only a single field goal throughout the game. With this victory, Green Bay demonstrates a well-rounded team effort that could carry them far this season.
