In a decisive Week 17 showdown, the Jacksonville Jaguars topped the Washington Commanders 27-13, solidifying their playoff aspirations with a strong performance. Both teams entered the game looking to bolster their postseason hopes, but it was the Jaguars who emerged victorious, showcasing their offensive firepower and defensive resilience. Quarterback Justin Fields led the charge for Jacksonville, throwing for 241 yards and a touchdown, while Breece Hall contributed significantly on the ground with 86 rushing yards. Tre Tucker was Fields' favorite target, racking up 77 receiving yards that helped keep the chains moving and the Commanders' defense on their heels throughout the game. Defensively, the Jaguars were anchored by Andrew Mukuba, who recorded a game-high 10 tackles, consistently shutting down Washington's offensive efforts. The turning point came in the second half when the Jacksonville defense tightened up, forcing key stops and allowing their offense to extend their lead. With the Commanders struggling to find their rhythm, the Jaguars maintained control and secured the win, putting them one step closer to the playoffs.
