In a decisive Week 17 matchup, the Carolina Panthers topped the Seattle Seahawks 24-7, solidifying their playoff positioning as the season nears its climax. With both teams vying for momentum heading into the postseason, the Panthers showcased their dominance on both sides of the ball. Carolina's Ty Simpson had a standout performance, throwing for 204 yards and three touchdowns, establishing himself as a key figure in the Panthers' offensive success. Meanwhile, Christian Kirk made significant contributions in the receiving game, racking up 78 yards, while Seattle’s Christian McCaffrey led the ground attack with 98 rushing yards, but it wasn’t enough to keep pace with the Panthers. Defensively, the Panthers made their mark with a crucial interception from Cor'Dale Flott, which shifted momentum in favor of Carolina. Although Seattle's Nick Bosa recorded two sacks, the Panthers' defense effectively contained the Seahawks' offense, allowing only one touchdown throughout the game. The turning point came when Simpson connected on a touchdown pass that extended the lead to two scores, leaving Seattle with an uphill battle they ultimately could not conquer.
