In a tightly contested battle, the Carolina Panthers narrowly defeated the New York Giants 27-24 in Week 2 of the 2027 season. With both teams looking to establish momentum early in the year, this matchup proved crucial for their playoff aspirations. Ty Simpson led the Panthers' offense, throwing for two touchdowns while effectively managing the game. Jeremiyah Love was a force on the ground, racking up 91 rushing yards to complement the passing attack. On the other side, Josh Allen put up solid numbers for the Giants, finishing with 271 passing yards and a standout performance from Josh Oliver, who caught for 120 yards. Defensively, the Panthers made key plays that swung the momentum in their favor, particularly with Kerby Joseph's crucial interception that halted a Giants drive. Jonathan Greenard added pressure with a sack, disrupting Allen's rhythm. The turning point came in the fourth quarter when the Panthers' defense stiffened, allowing them to hold off a late charge from New York and secure the victory.
