In a decisive Week 5 clash, the Chicago Bears topped the Green Bay Packers 20-9, solidifying their position in the competitive NFC North. With both teams looking to gain momentum in the 2026 season, this victory was crucial for the Bears as they seek to establish themselves as playoff contenders. Chicago's offense was firing on all cylinders, led by quarterback C.J. Stroud, who threw for an impressive 339 yards. Stroud found his favorite target in Mack Hollins, who racked up 166 receiving yards, while Blake Corum contributed significantly on the ground with 83 rushing yards, providing a balanced attack that kept the Packers' defense on their heels throughout the game. Defensively, the Bears made key plays that influenced the outcome, particularly an interception by Mike Jackson that shifted momentum in Chicago's favor. The Packers struggled to find their rhythm, with their only touchdown coming from Taylen Green, who had a challenging outing against a tenacious Bears defense. The pivotal moment came in the second half when the Bears' defense stepped up, stifling Green Bay's attempts to mount a comeback and ultimately sealing the win.
