In a commanding display to kick off the 2026 season, the Minnesota Vikings topped the Green Bay Packers 51-24, showcasing their dominance in Week 1. With this victory, the Vikings set a strong tone for the year ahead, while the Packers will need to regroup quickly to avoid a slow start. Drake Maye led the way for the Packers, throwing for 316 yards and two touchdowns, proving to be a bright spot in an otherwise challenging game. However, the Vikings' Woody Marks delivered a solid ground game with 89 rushing yards, while Jerry Jeudy shone for Green Bay, racking up 134 receiving yards, keeping the Packers competitive despite the scoreline. Minnesota's defense played a crucial role in the outcome, highlighted by Minkah Fitzpatrick's eight total tackles and Laiatu Latu's two sacks, applying consistent pressure on Maye throughout the contest. The game's turning point came when Antoine Winfield Jr. intercepted a pass, shifting momentum squarely in favor of the Vikings and paving the way for their explosive offensive performance.
