In a thrilling season opener, the Dallas Cowboys topped the New York Giants 27-17, kicking off the 2026 campaign with a solid victory. Both teams were looking to make an early statement, but it was Dallas that emerged victorious, showcasing their offensive capabilities. Dak Prescott led the charge for the Cowboys, throwing for one touchdown, while running back Javonte Williams racked up 86 rushing yards, effectively controlling the ground game. On the other side, Jaxson Dart of the Giants put up a commendable fight with 250 passing yards, and Malik Nabers was a standout receiver, accumulating 96 yards through the air. Defensively, the Giants had their moments but struggled to contain the Cowboys' scoring. The turning point came in the second quarter when Dallas capitalized on a key turnover, allowing them to extend their lead. Tremaine Edmunds' eight tackles kept the Giants in the game, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the Cowboys’ offensive firepower.
