The Pittsburgh Steelers topped the Indianapolis Colts 31-19 in a decisive Week 5 matchup of the 2027 season. With this victory, the Steelers solidify their position in the playoff race, while the Colts are left searching for answers as they struggle to find consistency. Drew Allar led the Steelers' offense with a modest 102 passing yards, but the real story was the ground game, as Pittsburgh efficiently moved the ball on the ground. For the Colts, Jonathan Taylor was a force to be reckoned with, racking up an impressive 169 rushing yards and keeping his team competitive throughout the game. Riley Leonard managed to throw for one touchdown, but the Colts' offense couldn't keep pace with the Steelers. Defensively, the Steelers put forth a strong performance, with Asante Samuel Jr. leading the way with five total tackles. T.J. Watt was a standout with two sacks, consistently pressuring the Colts' quarterback and disrupting their rhythm. The turning point came late in the game when Jamel Dean intercepted a pass, sealing the victory and allowing Pittsburgh to maintain control as the clock wound down.
