In a decisive Week 17 matchup, the Philadelphia Eagles topped the Carolina Panthers with a final score of 31-17, solidifying their playoff positioning as the regular season comes to a close. Both teams entered with playoff aspirations, but it was the Eagles who emerged victorious, showcasing their offensive firepower. Leading the charge for Philadelphia was quarterback Anthony Richardson Sr., who threw for 220 yards and two touchdowns, effectively managing the game. Saquon Barkley added a significant contribution on the ground, racking up 100 rushing yards, while Ja'Kobi Lane was a standout target in the passing game with 94 receiving yards. This offensive trio was instrumental in establishing a commanding lead early in the contest. Defensively, the Eagles applied consistent pressure, highlighted by a sack from Travon Walker that disrupted the Panthers' momentum at a critical juncture. The turning point came when Philadelphia stifled a late drive by Carolina, allowing the Eagles to maintain control and ultimately secure the win. Despite Malik Shields' impressive nine tackles for the Panthers, they couldn't overcome the Eagles' balanced attack and strong defensive performance.
