In a tightly contested Week 17 matchup, the Houston Texans narrowly defeated the Tennessee Titans by a score of 20-16. With playoff implications on the line, both teams fought hard, but it was the Texans who emerged victorious, solidifying their postseason aspirations. C.J. Stroud led the Texans with a stellar performance, throwing for two touchdowns and helping guide his team to victory. On the other side, Cam Ward showcased his skills as well, accumulating 260 passing yards and keeping the Titans competitive throughout the game. Chimere Dike was a standout for Tennessee, racking up 114 receiving yards, while Josh Walton contributed 64 rushing yards, but it wasn't enough to secure the win. Defensively, the Texans were bolstered by Trenton Simpson's ten total tackles, which played a crucial role in stifling the Titans' offensive flow. The game turned in the fourth quarter when the Texans’ defense held the Titans to a crucial three-and-out, allowing Stroud to orchestrate a game-winning drive. With both teams vying for playoff position, the Texans' ability to clamp down defensively at key moments proved to be the difference-maker in this hard-fought battle.
