In a tightly contested Week 15 matchup, the Detroit Lions narrowly defeated the Minnesota Vikings with a final score of 20-15. The stakes were high as both teams sought to solidify their playoff positions, but it was the Lions who emerged victorious in this pivotal encounter. Jared Goff led the Lions' offensive charge, throwing for 217 yards, while Jahmyr Gibbs contributed significantly on the ground, racking up 91 rushing yards. The Lions' balanced attack kept the Vikings' defense on its heels, allowing them to maintain control of the game and capitalize on critical drives when it mattered most. Defensively, the Vikings applied pressure, with Domonique Orange recording 1.5 sacks and Jakobe Thomas leading the team with eight tackles. However, the Lions' defense held strong during the game's turning point, forcing a key turnover late in the fourth quarter that sealed the victory. Despite Justin Jefferson's impressive 170 receiving yards, the Vikings couldn't convert that yardage into enough points, ultimately falling short at home.
