The Kansas City Chiefs topped the New England Patriots 24-14 in a crucial Week 15 matchup, solidifying their position in the playoff race. With both teams vying for a postseason spot, the Chiefs' victory was a significant step towards their goal. Patrick Mahomes led the offensive charge for Kansas City, throwing for 282 yards and connecting on key passes that kept the chains moving. On the ground, Kenneth Walker contributed 76 rushing yards, providing balance to the Chiefs' attack. Meanwhile, Drake Maye of the Patriots threw two touchdown passes, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Chiefs' offensive firepower. Defensively, the Chiefs managed to contain the Patriots' explosive plays, forcing them to rely heavily on the passing game. The turning point came in the third quarter when Kansas City's defense stifled a crucial drive, allowing Mahomes and the offense to extend their lead. With each possession, the Chiefs' defense made it clear that they were determined to protect their home turf, setting the stage for a hard-fought victory.
