In a tightly contested affair, the Green Bay Packers topped the Detroit Lions 17-11 in Week 7 of the 2026 season. With playoff implications on the line, both teams fought hard, but it was the Packers who came out on top, securing a crucial victory in the NFC North rivalry. The Packers' offense was led by Jordan Love, who threw for 230 yards, showcasing his ability to move the ball effectively through the air. Meanwhile, Josh Jacobs dominated on the ground, racking up 128 rushing yards and proving to be a key component of Green Bay's offensive strategy. Despite Jared Goff's lone touchdown pass for the Lions, it was not enough to propel his team to victory. Defensively, the game was marked by a strong performance from the Lions, with Christian Izien leading the way with eight tackles and Alim McNeill contributing 1.5 sacks. However, the turning point came in the second half when the Packers' defense held firm, stifling any late-game attempts from the Lions to take the lead. The Packers' ability to clamp down when it mattered most ultimately sealed their victory.
