In a hard-fought battle on the gridiron, the Minnesota Vikings topped the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 24-19 in Week 3 of the 2026 season. Both teams were hungry for a victory, but it was the Vikings who managed to secure the win, putting themselves in a strong position early in the season. Leading the charge for Minnesota was quarterback Joe Burrow, who threw for 301 yards and three touchdowns, showcasing his elite playmaking ability. Justin Jefferson was his primary target, racking up 117 receiving yards and proving to be a constant threat to the Buccaneers' defense. The Vikings' offense was efficient and effective, capitalizing on key opportunities to keep the scoreboard ticking. Defensively, the Vikings made crucial stops, with Daiyan Henley racking up nine tackles to anchor the unit. The turning point came late in the game when the Buccaneers were driving to tie, but a pivotal stop by Minnesota’s defense stifled their momentum. Although Vita Vea registered 1.5 sacks for Tampa Bay, it was the Vikings' ability to pressure the quarterback and make key plays that ultimately sealed the game.
