In a commanding performance, the Arizona Cardinals topped the San Francisco 49ers with a final score of 31-7, improving to 2-1 in the young season. The win solidifies the Cardinals' position in the competitive NFC West, while the 49ers continue to struggle after a disappointing start. Kyler Murray was the star of the show, throwing for 180 yards and three touchdowns, showcasing his ability to lead the offense effectively. Chris Brazzell II was a key target, racking up 84 receiving yards and contributing significantly to the passing game. Meanwhile, the 49ers' offense faltered, with Travis Etienne Jr. managing only six rushing yards, highlighting the struggles of their ground attack. Defensively, the Cardinals were relentless, with Amare Barno recording two sacks and Robert Spears-Jennings snagging two crucial interceptions that shifted momentum firmly in Arizona's favor. The turning point came late in the second quarter when Spears-Jennings' second interception led to a quick touchdown, putting the Cardinals up 21-7 and effectively sealing the game. Tre Hawkins III contributed with two total tackles, but it was the Arizona defense as a whole that dominated the field and stifled any chance of a 49ers comeback.
