In a high-scoring season opener, the Pittsburgh Steelers topped the Atlanta Falcons 52-35, showcasing their offensive prowess. With both teams eager to set the tone for the 2026 season, Pittsburgh emerged victorious with a powerful performance at home. Drew Allar was the standout performer for the Steelers, throwing for 361 yards and an impressive six touchdowns, demonstrating precision and poise throughout the game. His connections with the receiving corps proved lethal, while the Falcons' Bijan Robinson kept his team competitive with 154 rushing yards. Zachariah Branch also had a stellar outing for Atlanta, racking up 199 receiving yards. The Steelers' defense faced some challenges, but they managed to hold off key plays when it mattered most. The turning point came in the second quarter when Pittsburgh forced a crucial turnover that shifted momentum in their favor. Although the Falcons had strong individual defensive performances, including Gervon Dexter Jr.'s two sacks, it was not enough to overcome the Steelers' offensive firepower.
