In a decisive Week 1 matchup, the Indianapolis Colts topped the Baltimore Ravens with a final score of 26-7, kicking off the 2026 season with an impressive victory. The Colts aimed to establish their dominance early in the season, and they did just that against a formidable Ravens squad. Lamar Jackson showcased his talent for Baltimore, throwing for 246 yards and a touchdown, making him the standout performer for the Ravens. However, it was Jonathan Taylor who led the ground game for Indianapolis with 81 rushing yards, providing a balanced offensive attack. Mark Andrews also made an impact in the passing game, racking up 113 receiving yards, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Colts’ strong performance. Defensively, the Colts were relentless, with Cam Taylor-Britt leading the charge with 10 total tackles. The turning point came when Trenton Simpson registered an impressive 3.5 sacks for the Ravens, but it wasn't enough to shift momentum. The Colts' ability to contain Baltimore's offense while capitalizing on their own opportunities proved vital in securing this Week 1 triumph.
