The New York Giants topped the Carolina Panthers 24-3 in a decisive Week 2 matchup of the 2027 season. With both teams looking to establish their footing early in the season, the Giants showcased their dominance, especially on the defensive side of the ball. Jaxson Dart led the Giants' offense with 144 passing yards, connecting effectively with Darren Waller, who posted 55 receiving yards. Meanwhile, Aaron Jones Sr. was the standout for the Panthers, rushing for 64 yards but struggled to find the end zone as the Giants' defense stifled any hopes of a comeback. The Giants' defense was the key to their victory, with Jevon Holland recording four tackles and DeMarvion Overshown capturing two crucial interceptions that shifted momentum. The turning point came in the second quarter when Overshown's second pick set up a short field, allowing the Giants to extend their lead and effectively put the game out of reach for the Panthers.
