In a commanding performance, the Los Angeles Chargers topped the Denver Broncos 35-7 in a crucial Week 5 matchup. The win solidifies the Chargers' position in the playoff race, while the Broncos continue to struggle on both sides of the ball. Justin Herbert was the standout star for Los Angeles, throwing for 153 yards and an impressive four touchdowns, showcasing his precision and decision-making throughout the game. Oronde Gadsden also made his mark, leading the receiving corps with 63 yards, contributing significantly to the Chargers' offensive explosion. Meanwhile, RJ Harvey carried the load for Denver with only 35 rushing yards, struggling to find any rhythm against a robust Chargers defense. Defensively, the Chargers made their presence felt, with Derwin James Jr. picking off two passes, turning the tide in favor of Los Angeles. The game shifted decisively after James' first interception, which led to a quick touchdown that extended the Chargers' lead. Despite a sack from Nik Bonitto and strong tackling from Patrick Surtain II, the Broncos couldn't contain the Chargers' offensive onslaught, leading to a lopsided defeat.
