In a decisive Week 9 matchup, the Washington Commanders topped the Los Angeles Rams with a commanding 34-10 victory. This win not only solidifies the Commanders' position in the playoff race but also sends a message to the rest of the league as they continue to build momentum in the 2026 season. Commanders quarterback Doug Williams was the standout performer, throwing for 283 yards and three touchdowns, demonstrating his ability to lead the offense effectively. Rachaad White contributed with a solid ground game, rushing for 67 yards, while Art Monk was a reliable target, racking up 108 receiving yards. This offensive prowess was too much for the Rams to handle throughout the game. Defensively, the Commanders made their mark with Rashan Gary securing two sacks and Ken Houston notching an interception, which shifted the momentum in Washington's favor. The game's turning point came late in the second quarter when Houston's interception set up Williams' third touchdown pass, effectively putting the game out of reach for the Rams. With a strong defensive performance, the Commanders showcased their capability to dominate both sides of the ball.
